"The driver does not appear to support OpenGL" error
If you see an error like this when launching SimplyAuto:
Fyne error: window creation error
Cause: APIUnavailable: WGL: The driver does not appear to support OpenGL
Cause: APIUnavailable: WGL: The driver does not appear to support OpenGL
This means your graphics driver doesn't support OpenGL, which SimplyAuto requires. Here's how to fix it:
Solution 1: Update Your Graphics Drivers
- Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager
- Expand Display adapters
- Right-click your graphics card and select Update driver
- Choose Search automatically for drivers
- Restart your computer after the update
For the best results, download drivers directly from your GPU manufacturer:
Solution 2: Running in a Virtual Machine?
If you're running Windows in a VM (VirtualBox, VMware, etc.), you'll need to enable 3D acceleration:
- VirtualBox: Settings → Display → Enable 3D Acceleration
- VMware: Settings → Display → Accelerate 3D graphics
Solution 3: Remote Desktop
Standard Windows Remote Desktop doesn't support OpenGL. If you need to run SimplyAuto remotely, try:
- Parsec
- AnyDesk
- TeamViewer
What are the default hotkeys?
- F6 - Toggle Auto Clicker
- F9 - Start/Stop Recording
- F10 - Play Macro
- F11 - Stop All
You can customize these in the Settings tab within the app.
Is SimplyAuto safe to use?
Yes! SimplyAuto is open source and you can review the code on GitHub. Some antivirus software may flag auto clickers because they simulate input, but SimplyAuto contains no malicious code.
